About NAS Richmond Division
NAS (Naval Air Station) Richmond is a division of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps (USNSCC), situated at the Miami Military Museum in Miami, Florida. The USNSCC is a prestigious national youth leadership development organization that aims to foster interest and proficiency in naval disciplines. It achieves this by instilling strong moral character and essential life skills through comprehensive leadership and technical programs, which are modeled after the Navy’s professional development system.
Run by a small staff in Miami, FL, we are sponsored by the Navy League of the United States and supported by both the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard.
The Miami Military Museum, where NAS Richmond is located, is rich in history. It is situated on the grounds of the former WWII Naval Air Station Richmond, which was the southernmost blimp base in the country. The museum showcases artifacts from South Florida veterans who participated in various military operations from WWII to the present day .
